Commissions

I welcome your inquiries about commission possibilities.

Furniture: First, we discuss your needs in terms of how you want the piece to function, what colors you are looking for, and your budget for the project. If we decide to proceed, a $300 non-refundable design fee will get you detailed sketches of my ideas for your project, as well as physical color samples on wood that I will send you so you can see how they look in your space. I use Google SketchUp to draw out my ideas and work out the proportions and colors. It’s a great communication tool so you can understand what you will be getting if we decide to continue on to the fabrication phase. The only surprises I want either of us to have after this point is how amazing the piece looks in person. Once we agree on a final design and cost, I get 1/2 down, with the balance paid upon completion. If your piece needs to be shipped, the balance is paid before shipping, along with the crating cost (if applicable) and the shipping cost. If I am delivering your custom furniture and you live within a couple hours from me, you can pay the balance upon delivery. If I am delivering your custom furniture and you live more than a couple hours away from me, the balance will be paid before delivery, along with our agreed upon delivery fee.

Dyed Panels: After our initial conversation about what you are wanting in size and color, a $100 non-refundable design fee will get you a sketch and physical color samples on wood. I will send you the color samples so you can see how they look in your space. Once we agree on a final design and cost, I get 1/2 down, with the balance paid upon completion. If your piece needs to be shipped, the balance is paid before shipping, along with the crating cost (if applicable) and the shipping cost. If I am delivering your custom artwork and you live within a couple hours from me, you can pay the balance upon delivery. If I am delivering your custom artwork and you live more than a couple hours away from me, the balance will be paid before delivery, along with our agreed upon delivery fee. If you want me to install your artwork, I may be amenable. If it’s a simple installation, I will do it for free. If it’s terribly complicated, we will need to discuss compensation.

HooDoos, Microsculptures, and 3D Wall Art: In general, I do not make these types of artwork for commission. However, if you want to request particular colors, have no inclinations for the final design, and are willing to pay for the artwork up front, I may be amenable.
