Dyed Baltic birch plywood, handpainted handwoven cotton, copper
Photographed by Jafe Parsons
This commissioned cabinet has a stack of six drawers down the center, every other one being clad in copper sheet. Large decorative circles adorn the fronts of two cabinet doors that flank the stack of drawers. They are padded and covered in fabric I hand dyed and wove. Two additional drawers sit over the cabinet doors. The top has a striped plywood endgrain inlay in the middle to visually frame the stack of drawers. All drawer and cabinet handles are also made of striped endgrain and dyed to match the feet. This piece was made to coordinate and cohabit with the Sonoma Desk, Sonoma Table, and Sonoma Sofa.
