This commissioned table was shaped to fit a triangular space between my clients’ sofa and chair. I was given permission to let my imagination run wild with this piece. This is what happens when I hear those magic words.
I had started making wall pieces with my plywood scraps and this is the first piece of furniture that I incorporated those scrap pieces of wood. The decoration on the green leg and the yellow pointy bits that hold the fabric up are leftover pieces of previous furniture projects. I have continued this style in pieces like The Ellison Cabinet. The Angle Table is one of the most exuberant pieces I’ve made, with its bright colors and dramatic angles. A friend of mine refers to it as The Beetlejuice Table, after the movie. I love the reference!
